QUESTIONS & ANSWERS:
- Q: Do you sponsor refugees to come to Canada?
No, we do not. We can provide you information about Private Sponsorship of Refugees, which includes: Group of 5, Community Sponsors and Sponsorship Agreement Holders.
- Q: Can Immigrant & Refugee Services provide an Invitation Letter for my relative(s) to visit Canada?
No, we cannot. We can provide you information about how you can invite your relative.
- Q: Do you provide services to persons who are not refugees or immigrants?
Yes, we do. (See list of services in our brochure.)
- Q: May I bring my family (spouse and children) to the appointment?
Yes, you may. If you have child care available for your children or if they attend school, they do not need to come with you.
- Q:May I bring a friend/relative/caseworker to the appointment?
Yes, you may. You decide who you would like to have present during the appointment.
- Q:Are your offices wheelchair accessible?
Our downtown office is on the second floor and there is no elevator available. Please phone and we can discuss how to make an appointment possible. Our new location on Jarvis Street where we will move in soon is wheelchair accessible. Mississauga, North York and Scarborough offices are wheelchair accessible.
